Showing off...

YarnPosted by Ann Helen Sun, March 29, 2009 00:28:30

Just want to show you these two skeins bought from

Fleece Artist and Hand Maiden are both hand dyed yarn from Canada. They dye the most gorgeous yarn that deserves pretty projects! My plans are lace shawls; something I've never done before, but there's a first time for everything!

The first photos are my own, and the second photos are borrowed from

Let me introduce you to Fleece Artist Suri Blue - pure alpaca - in the colorway peacock.
My photo seems to show off my skein in a more accurate color, but as you can imagine, due to the hand-dying, colors can vary a lot.

And the other increadibly soft and gorgeous yarn is Hand Maiden Mini Maiden - 50% wool and 50% silk - colorway aurora.

Again: no photo can show off the structure, quality and color of these yarns!
